MARLETTE SCHOOLS CLOSE EARLY FOR THE YEAR
Classes and all activities cancelled this week in the Marlette School District. On Tuesday, school officials were advised of a conversation between students, on a district bus. Several students were interviewed by school administration and local law enforcement and parents were contacted. The investigation revealed the conversation between the two students was that of recent events, in nearby districts, and not that of Marlette Community Schools. It was determined that student safety was not in jeopardy at any time. However, due to the recent events, the Board of Education and administration felt that it was in the best interest of the district to cancel classes and extra curricular events for the remainder of the week. The days will be made up in June.
