Midgets Win Silver Stick Opener
The Port Huron Flags Midget AA hockey team began Silver Stick on Friday with a 3-0 win over North London in Sarnia. Corey Hutchinson had a goal and an assist to pace the Flags attack, while Erik Gouin and Nick Henry added goals. Justin Abdelhak earned the shutout. The Midgets will play twice on Saturday, facing Aurora at 9:30 AM and Ottawa at 4 PM.
In the Squirt AA division, Port Huron lost a pair of games on Friday, falling to Barrie 5-1 and North Bay 8-2. Jake Truscot scored in each game for the Flags, while Brendon Dickinson also had a goal. The Squirts will face Tampa at 11 AM Saturday in their final game of pool play.
