Tyler Collins broke up a no-hitter with a lead off triple in the top of the eighth inning that led to a two run rally, giving the Detroit Tigers a 2-1 victory over the Atlanta Braves on Friday in the pre-season opener in Florida. Jeff Kobernas tripled in Collins and Hernan Perez drove in Kobernas with a sac-fly to provide the Tigers with the runs they would need. A lead off home run in the ninth from Joey Terdoslavich gave the Braves their lone run. Collins also had a double for the Tigers, who managed just four hits, all in the last two innings. The same two teams play at 1:05 PM on Saturday in Lakeland.
