Michigan cities have seen some down times, but possibly never like this, especially since the Recession of 2008.  Well, it's high time to pick ourselves up and get going again... but how to best go about it?  That's the topic today in Port Huron as local State Senator Phil Pavlov hosts a Business Climate Community Forum with special guest speaker Rodney Stokes, who's a special adviser to the Governor and heads up the City Placemaking initiative.  Pavlov says there are new programs in place and even help from the state available, but cities and townships will have to do the heavy lifting themselves. Pavlov says the forum will take a look at the economic and business climate and what can be done to take advantage of the new programs available.  The event starts at 5:30pm at the Acheson Community Resource Center along McMorran.
