STRANGULATION AND OTHER CHARGES, IN LOCAL CASE

A 30-year-old Port Huron resident is facing a variety of charges in connection with an imprisonment case that ended after several hours, at about 5 a.m. yesterday.  Port Huron Police say, he was arrested in the 14-hundred block of Lincoln Street, after a 33-year-old former girlfriend was apparently punched, strangled, and held against her will.  He also damaged her cell phone so she could not use it to call 911.  He is charged with false imprisonment, strangulation, and interfering with an electronic device.
