Tigers Shut Out

Justin Verlander allowed just one run and four hits on Tuesday with 10 strike outs, but his team did not score and lost game three of the ALCS 1-0 to Boston.  The Red Sox lead the best-of-seven series 2-1.  Mike Napoli hit a solo home run in the seventh for the games only run.  The Tigers had two chances in the game with a runner at third and less than two outs, but failed to score each time.  Game four is Wednesday night at Comerica Park as Doug Fister faces Jake Peavy.
