THE HOT SUMMER TURNS COLD

The heat wave gives way to cold front... all in the space of a week.  Last week's heat wave saw temperatures in the mid-90's, but this week finds us mostly in the 70's for daytime highs.  Phil Kurimski at the National Weather Service says a cold front sliding through this week is responsible for the cooler than unusual temps. Kurimski says today brings a good chance of showers and thunderstorms, but much of the week will see us on the dry side.  Saturday there's a chance of showers and thunderstorms, with Sunday seeing an expected high of just 67-degrees. Normal highs for this time of the year are in the low 80’s. Even into next week Monday sees highs of only 75-degrees.
