The end of this month will see a joint session with the Port Huron City Council and the McMorran Civic Center Authority Commission. A strategic plan has been developed by the McMorran board, with Chair Patti Samar saying it was generated from the public input gathered from a series of community meetings and constant contact with members of the City Council. Samar says the McMorran board is recommending that the council adopt the strategic plan, which will point the direction on how to proceed for the future of the building and the organization that runs it. The council earlier this year extended the terms of the McMorran members so they could finish the strategic plan. The joint meeting will be held on Wednesday the 30th at 7pm at the Municipal Office Center.
