We should know by now to never give out personal information on the phone, but that doesn't stop the scammers from trying.  The St. Clair County Sheriff's Office says there's a new phone scam going around, and it's one that targets retirees.  Officials say several people have reported getting a call from a phone solicitor in which they're told a new Medicare card is going to be sent to them, and then they're asked to give out their bank information.  Sheriff Tim Donnellon says no one should ever give out personal information over the phone.  He says if you or anyone else receive that type of phone call, simply hang up.  You can also report the call to the Social Security Office Fraud Hotline at 1-800-269-0271.
