MAN INJURED IN CRASH WITH FIRE RESCUE TRUCK

The St. Clair County Sheriff's Office says an 87-year old Port Huron man was injured in a crash with a Fort Gratiot Fire Department rescue truck Wednesday afternoon.  Sheriff Tim Donnellon says the man was driving his vehicle along State Road about 5:40pm with a witness indicating the man failed to yield at the intersection of State and Keewahdin where he was hit by the truck.  The firefighters were not injured and began treatment on the man who was later taken to a local hospital.  The Sheriff says the accident remains under investigation but he notes neither speed or alcohol were to blame.
