Stupid News for 12/16/13

An Arkansas man found a way to tell Radio Shack they were number one in his book - by walking into one of their stores and urinating all over the merchandise. A store clerk called cops after John Posey mistook the showroom for a restroom and relieved himself on the carpet and a shelf filled with electronics. When the officer arrived on the scene, he spotted Posey and noticed he was unsteady on his feet, smelled of alcohol ... and still had his pants unzipped. Posey initially denied going with the flow, but eventually 'fessed up, saying he didn't simply ask to use the restroom because "usually they don't let you." He was charged with public intoxication and criminal mischief.

A Florida woman who was unhappy that her ex-boyfriend had found his perfect match responded by striking a match -- and setting fire to the entryway of the home he was sharing with his new girlfriend. Kaelyn Marie Partenza had been living with the happy couple up until recently, but moved out a few weeks earlier. She told cops she'd gone to the residence to "get closure" on her relationship with Daniel Morris - but changed her mind when she spotted some lighter fluid on the deck, and "got mad and lit the door on fire." Morris, who pulled a gun on Partenza and hit her with a pair of boots, was also arrested for domestic battery.

A Colorado Santa Claus found out that reindeer really can fly - when one of his sleigh-pullers went on the lam during a tree-lighting ceremony and sped off like a "Comet," moving so quickly that it took cops a full day to track him down. Santa was inside a building visiting children when the critter made a break for it, hopping a wall and swimming across a reservoir - getting discovered only when officers enlisted another reindeer to lure him back to the herd. Santa issued a statement saying, "The reindeer are now in preparation for the upcoming flight around the world on Christmas Eve. The reindeer made a promise to return next year to again add to the season’s festivities and delight of children."
