THE SEARCH FOR A NEW PARADE GRAND MARSHAL BEGINS

If you've ever wanted to participate in the annual St. Patrick's Day Parade through the downtown Port Huron streets, now's your chance to be nominated as Grand Marshal.  The Irish-American Club of St. Clair County, sponsors of the event, are looking for Grand Marshal nominations, with nominees having to be at least twenty-one years of age, a St. Clair County resident and of Irish descent, regardless of married name or surname.  The club's Jim Brennan says once they select a Grand Marshal, then comes the traditional sashing. Brennan says the nominations must be in writing and should be typewritten on a single sheet of paper.  It has to include the name, address and telephone number of the nominator and the nomination letter should also cite the reasons for nomination.  Nominations are due in by February 10th.  For more information visit theirishamericanclub.org.
