The boy's high school basketball regional playoffs began on Monday night. In Class B action at North Branch, Imlay City failed to hold a 14 point lead after three quarters and lost in overtime to Millington 76-65. The Spartans got 27 points from Anthony Howard in the loss. Millington will face Goodrich in the regional final on Wednesday night, after the Martians downed St. Clair 53-33 in the second game of the evening. The Saints were led by Nolan Young who had nine points. In Class D at Peck, the host Pirates advanced to the final with a 59-47 win over Bay City All Saints. Peck will play Burton St. Thomas More in the final on Wednesday. Thomas More beat New Haven Merritt 87-45.
