Entertainment News For Tuesday!

Sir Paul McCartney has been released from hospital. The 71-year-old musician was discharged by doctors last night after spending almost a week recovering from a mystery virus at St Luke's International Hospital in Tokyo. The Beatles legend, who was forced to cancel the Asian leg of his 'Out There!' world tour, was excited about being reunited with his family as he boarded a private jet heading back home. A source said: "Paul has really been through the mill. He was desperately sad he had to cancel those shows but he was really poorly. But he is on the mend which is great news." The US leg of Paul's tour will go ahead as planned on June 14.

David Hasselhoff raised $150,000 for charity by selling off his personal Knight Rider car at auction. He was given a 1986 Pontiac Firebird - based on the computer-controlled KITT supercar from his hit 1980s TV show - as a gift from a dedicated fan, and he decided to put it under the hammer to support the Starlight Children's Foundation. After putting the one-of-a-kind vehicle up for sale in April, Hasselhoff recently revealed a car enthusiast bought it for a cool $150,000. The Hoff said, "I can't believe Knight Rider affected so many people in such a positive way. I just sold my car for $150,000 to a guy in Turkey." He also auctioned off awards for his singing career and his lifeguard jacket from Baywatch.

Kanye West gifted Kim Kardashian with a portrait of herself.  The rapper, who married Kim over the weekend in Florence, Italy, commissioned London artist Bambi to paint a portrait of her to celebrate their nuptials. A source said: "It's the first non-narcissistic thing Kanye has done because he specifically didn't want to be in the painting himself. He says he wants Kim looking as much like a princess as possible." How much did it cost? The insider says, "Kanye has said he doesn't care how much the painting costs. This is likely to be Bambi's biggest sale to date." The newlyweds are currently on their honeymoon without their daughter North West.
