A special meeting schedule for this evening has been cancelled after Board of Education members received word from their top Superintendent candidate that he would not be seeking the post. Board of Education President Jeff Stout says he talked with Dr. Richard Weigel late last night and received word of the change. Stout says he doubts if any of the other candidates from the latest round of interviews are a possibility for the job which opens up at the end of the school year. That leaves the entire process up in the air. The search for a new board member also continues with June 6th the deadline for applications for the seat vacated by Kathie Sheets.
