Entertainment News For Wednesday!

John Mayer has encouraged his former lovers to write songs about him, after his ex-girlfriend Katy Perry revealed plans to pen a tune about their romance on her next album. As well as Perry, Mayer has romanced Jessica Simpson and Taylor Swift, who reportedly wrote the song Dear John about their failed relationship, and now he's bracing for Katy's lyrics after she told the upcoming July issue of Cosmo, "There's no bad blood, but I'm sure there will be inspired songs." Mayer insists he isn't afraid for the world to hear what she has to say about him, saying, "I have super strength for gang-ups, I'm fine. That's what you’re supposed to do, man, you're supposed to write songs. You're just not supposed to tell everybody you’re doing it."

Snoop Dogg has been hit with a lawsuit from three former bodyguards who allege they were underpaid and overworked for years. Torrey Mitchell, Donnel Murray, and Ryan Turk claim that they were fired earlier this year after complaining about their working conditions. The men accuse Snoop of evading California laws which require employers to pay overtime after the mandated eight hours of work. In addition, the trio claim they could only sleep for three hours a day while Snoop was on tour, were not given proper breaks, while adding that records of their hours worked were never kept. And they also allege the rapper of making them run errands for him and his family. The boys are seeking $3 million.

Bret Michaels has expressed his gratitude to fans after they sent him messages of support following his latest onstage health crisis last week. He was just three songs into his gig in New Hampshire last week when he was forced to cut the gig short and head back to his tour bus, where he received urgent medical treatment from paramedics. He was taken to a local Medical Center, where doctors diagnosed him with a bout of influenza, dehydration and exhaustion. AFter posting a photo of himself on his website, he told fans, "Apologies for the pale white face. It's the first day I've been able to fly to the kids. There is not enough thanks that I can send to the awesome fans, friends, family and medical staff for their help and well wishes. You all rock!"
