A Florida woman was caught on surveillance video attempting to eat a bag full of marijuana during an arrest for DUI. Tavish Smith was pulled over on suspicion of DUI after she allegedly crashed her truck two times and was seen driving the wrong way. During the stop, officers searched the vehicle and discovered a sandwich bag full of marijuana. After the suspect was placed in the back of a squad car, she asked the officer to go get her flip-flops from her truck. Smith was then able to wriggle out of her handcuffs and grab the bag from the front seat of the squad car. She then quickly chowed down on its contents. Smith denied eating the pot, but she allegedly left marijuana crumbs everywhere. The 45-year-old allegedly ate about 12 grams of grass.

A Canadian cyclist who was attacked by a Canada goose while she was riding her bike in Ottawa spent five days in the hospital after suffering a concussion, a fractured cheekbone and facial lacerations. Kerry Surman was biking when she saw a family of geese crossing the trail. She tried to get past the family without interrupting the animals, but one goose "misjudged" her intentions and attacked. Surman woke up on the ground and had issues getting back up. She believes that her bicycle helmet and sunglasses prevented her from suffering more serious injuries. The cyclist and her husband had faced a similar situation with geese about three weeks earlier, but nothing happened.

Customers were shocked when a man walked into a McDonald's in Queens with a knife stuck in his back. Andrew Hardy was reportedly stabbed after he attempted to break up a group of men who were throwing bottles at each other. He then managed to walk a block to the McDonald's, where he encountered customers with his shirt soaked in blood. A friend said, "He was cool and calm. But you could tell he was shaken up. I went to pull the knife out, but someone said, 'No, no! It might have hit an artery!'" Other customers rushed to help him and tried to make sure he did not fall back on the knife as he waited for an ambulance. Hardy was taken to the hospital and was released later that day.
