Entertainment News For Wednesday!

Author J.K. Rowling has written a new story based off the "Harry Potter" characters, which takes places following the events in "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows." The story centers on Harry, now 34, who attends a Quidditch World Cup tournament and reunites with the old gang. Fans who want to read the 1,500-word story must subscribe to Pottermore.com. Unfortunately, Rowling has "no plans" to write additional stories about older Harry. In related news, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter - Diagon Alley attraction officially opens today at Universal Orlando in Florida.

If you've heard Britney Spears' single Alien, you can hear auto-tune leveling out Britney's singing. However, a recent leaked version of the song featuring no production doen to her voice is making music fans wonder if Britney can sing at all. It's... bad. Now, the track's producer William Orbit has released a statement claiming the leaked version is a vocal warm-up and not the take that was produced for the album. He says,  "I'd like to affirm that ANY singer when first at the mic at the start of a long session can make a multitude of vocalisations in order to get warmed up. The point is that it is not supposed to be shared with millions of listeners."
Newlyweds Jessica Simpson and Eric Johnson got married over the weekend and will receive a paycheck that should help offset the wedding costs. People magazine reportedly paid the couple $300,000 for exclusive rights to photos from the nuptials. An insider said "there was no bidding war" for Simpson's images. However, there was some concern that photos would be leaked online on sites such as Instagram.com prior to the magazine's release. Wedding guests were reportedly told not to bring cell phones or take photographs. People magazine "didn't want any photos to come out before they run Wednesday."
