Stupid News for 7/16/14

A Seattle couple called police after they returned to their condo and discovered that it looked like a scene from Paranormal Activity. The place was completely trashed and their mail and clothing had been strewn throughout the home. The unknown perpetrator had also "smeared lotion on a door handle, removed the inner soles from all of their shoes, screwed a single screw into a piece of scrap wood and placed an upside-down can of paint on top of their toilet." After a purse with a woman's ID card was found, police were called to the scene. The woman was nowhere to be found, so they departed. Police returned after the couple called them back to the scene when they started hearing noises from under the bed.  The mystery woman appeared "to be having a panic attack." The woman informed police she had been on a 'meth rampage' for several days and had also broken into another home around the block earlier in the evening." She was arrested.

A valet had a bad day at work after he crashed a $250,000 Lamborghini into Le Meridien hotel in New Delhi, India causing $330,000 in damages. Arun Kumar was attempting to park the Lamborghini when it suddenly accelerated, slammed into another vehicle, spun away and rammed into a cement barrier of the building. BigBoyToyz, a luxury car dealer in New Delhi, shared photos of the destruction on Facebook. The damage is more than the estimated cost of the car because the owner included the steep cost of importing the vehicle, making the value of the Lamborghini total to about half a million dollars. He also claims the hotel is trying to avoid paying the cost of damages because it was an accident. Kumar was reportedly taken to the hospital for treatment and was discharged later that day.

A middle-aged Irish woman was arrested this week after allegedly dealing cocaine at a bingo hall. Helen Heaphy appeared in court and was charged with possession of cocaine and having the illegal drug for sale or supply because of her alleged actions. The suspect declined to respond to either charge during her court appearance. The 50-year-old woman was banned from attending Rock Bingo events at the Deanrock Business and Technology Park until the matter is resolved. Heaphy is due back in court in September.
