Casey's Pizza and Sub Shop in downtown Port Huron is the site for a visit for a candidate for Lt. Governor of Michigan this week. The candidate's name is Wes Nakagiri and he says he's running for Lt. Governor because he sees a need for a true conservative who can remind Governor Rick Snyder about the conservative Republican Party platform, should the governor stray from it. Nakagiri, of Hartland, says his numerous contacts inform him that many GOP party regulars and Tea Party activists have become disillusioned with policies being pushed by the Snyder administration. Nakagiri has been seeking the convention selection since Medicaid changes were approved by the state last year. He'll be at Casey's today from 6 to 8pm.
