Tigers Win In Extras

Alex Avila capped a big night with a home run in the top of the 12th inning that gave the Detroit Tigers a 4-3 win in New York over the Yankees on Tuesday night.  Avila had two hits in the game and knocked in two runs.  Andrew Romine added a solo home run and Victor Martinez picked up an RBI with his two hits for the Tigers.  David Price got no decission in his Detroit debut, but pitched 8 and 2/3 innings and struck out 10.  The third game of a four game series is set for Wednesday night at Yankee Stadium.
