Tea party candidates were defeated by establishment-Republican candidates in most head-to-head Michigan House primary races in Michigan Tuesday. But the tea party did record notable victories as well. Tea partier Lee Chatfield of Levering ousted incumbent State House Republican Frank Foster of Petoskey. Another tea party candidate who won primaries Tuesday was Todd Courser of Lapeer County. Courser takes on former Imlay City Mayor Margaret Guerrero-DeLuca in the November elections for the 82nd.
