The St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in solving a purse snatching that occurred in Fort Gratiot Township. It happened July 31st about 1pm, with the victim contacting the Sheriff’s Office saying that her purse had been stolen off the back of her wheelchair as she was exiting a Blue Water Transit bus. The woman said she wasn’t aware the purse had been stolen until a witness alerted her that a man had taken it and stuffed it into a backpack. Meanwhile a break-in at the Wadhams Pharmacy in Kimball Township early Monday morning has the St. Clair County Sheriff's Office also asking for the public's assistance in the case. Sheriff Tim Donnellon says two white males cut a hole in the roof of the pharmacy around 1:30am, with the suspects, who were wearing ski masks, dropping a rope into the store and climbing down. They stole cash and narcotics and exited through the back door. The Sheriff says at this time there's no suspect information or information on a suspect vehicle.
