The Detroit Tigers finally woke up on Friday night, erupting for three runs in the ninth to come from behind and beat the Toronto Blue Jays 5-4. Detroit trailed 4-0 after two innings, but scored twice in the third on a two run single by Ian Kinsler. The scored remained 4-2 until the ninth, when Nick Castellanos hit a two run home run to tie the game and Eugenio Suarez homered on the next pitch to put Detroit ahead. The Blue Jays loaded the bases in the bottom of the ninth but failed to score. Game two of a three game series is Saturday afternoon in Toronto.
