NO BELTS ALCOHOL AND EXCESSIVE SPEED LEAD TO ROLLOVER

At approximately 7:30 am on Sunday Sanilac County Sheriff Deputies responded to a one vehicle personal injury roll-over accident just east of the intersection of Peck Road (M-90) and Fargo Road in Buel Township.
Investigation at the scene indicated that a 1995 Jeep Cherokee driven by 35-year-old Travis Davis of Croswell was traveling east on Peck Road and lost control while attempting to pass a second uninvolved vehicle. Witnesses on scene stated that the Jeep driven by Mr. Davis had swerved across the roadway onto the south shoulder and then crossed the roadway again and struck the embankment of the north ditch. This caused the vehicle to rollover several times and Davis was ejected from the vehicle.
Mr. Davis received serious injuries due to the accident. He was transported to McKenzie Hospital in Sandusky and then transported via helicopter to U of M Hospital in Ann Arbor.
