Guilty on all counts... that's the jury verdict Wednesday for a Port Huron man accused in the double homicide last summer at an apartment complex. Manuel Gamez was charged with two counts of open murder, two counts of torture and one count of first degree criminal sexual conduct. St. Clair County Senior Assistant Prosecutor Melissa Keyes says we may never know what drove Gamez to commit the crimes. Officials say the case began July 30th last year when the bodies of the two victims, 26-year-old Melissa Ichenberg and 29-year-old Daniel McRoberts, were found inside Ichenberg's apartment at a complex along Riverview on the city's north end. The county Medical Examiner's Office says Ichenberg was strangled to death and McRoberts died from multiple stab wounds. Sentencing for Gamez is scheduled for September 17th. Keyes says he could be in prison for the rest of his life without the possibility of parole.
