Goodells County Park will be the place to be on Labor Day for music, art, a chili cook-off and more. It's the 5th annual BlueChiliGrass Festival Chili Cook-off as sponsored by the Lake Bonisteel Music Association, with organizer Sue Wilson telling us the event this time around will see even more live music. She says three stages are expected to be set up. As for the chili competition, five local eateries will be taking part... Chef Shell’s Restaurant, Fuel Woodfire Grill, Lucky Lunch, Lynch's Irish Tavern and the Raven Cafe. The chili cook-off will take place from 2 to 5pm and tickets for sampling will be available for 25-cents per sample. Wilson says if you go you're encouraged to bring lawn chairs and a picnic basket with food and beverage vendors available also. The Goodells gates open at 11am and the music starts at noon. $1 admission for those 12 and up.
