The last place Minnesota Twins swept the Detroit Tigers in a two game series at Comerica Park, with a 4-3 win on Thursday afternoon. Both the United States and Canada were eliminated in the quarterfinals of the World Hockey Championships on Thursday in Helsinki, Finland. The Minnesota Twins out slugged the Detroit Tigers 11-7 on Wednesday night in the opening game of a two game series at Comerica Park. The Twins out hit the Tigers 14-11 and Detroit commited four errors in the game. Andy Dirks had three hits and an RBI, while Miguel Cabrera and Prince Fielder each drove in two runs. The teams rematch on Thursday afternoon.
