The Detroit Tigers have acquired six time All-Star closer Francisco Rodriguez from the Milwaukee Brewers on Wednesday for minor league infielder Javier Betancourt. Rodriguez is seventh all time in MLB history with (386) career saves and set a single season record in 2008 with the Angels, when he earned (62). Last year in Milwaukee, Rodriguez had (38) saves and a (2.21) ERA with a (1-3) record. He has closed out (82) of (87) saves chances over the last two seasons. The 14 year pro with be 34 when the season begins.
