St. Clair County was awarded a 4 thousand dollar grant in October, to plant a variety of trees in the areas surrounding the Blue Water Convention Center. The purpose of this program is to increase the number and variety of trees in communities within the DTE Energy service areas. The County intends to utilize part of the grant to beautify the street-scape along St. Clair Street to the west of the Convention Center, with 8 different tree varieties.
