Folks living along Lake Michigan and in the Upper Peninsula are waking up to a half a foot of snow on the ground, or more. Much of west Michigan is under a Lake Effect Snow Advisory, which could bring as much as six inches of snow by mid-morning. Parts of northern Michigan, including Traverse City, could see 10 inches of snow. Mean while,a Lake Effect Snow Warning is in effect for St. Clair and Sanilac Counties where up to 8 inches of snow fall is possible in some locations.
