Workshops helping small businesses

If you have ever wanted to start a small business, or you have one and need some help with accounting, there will be some free workshops being offered may be right for you. Two free workshops will be coming to the Port Huron area. "Starting a Business" will take place on Tuesday, January 12th, from 1-4 pm, at the St. Clair County Community College. This presentation will cover the process of starting and operating a business, costs and financial options, plus business planning. The second seminar "Financial Management", will be presented on Thursday, January 14th, from 5-8pm at SC4. The workshop will introduce basic accounting concepts and how to apply financial information that helps small business owners manage a business more effectively. These seminars are presented by the I-69 Trade Corridor Region of the Michigan Small Business Development Center, located at Kettering University.
