Gas station robbery suspect found dead

The suspect in the robbery of the Marathon Gas Station has been found dead. According to the Port Huron Police Department, On Saturday, January 9th, around 4:55 pm they responded to a call of man down in a home in the 1100 block of 10th Avenue. When officers arrived, they found the man dead. Items were located in the home that implicated the man in the robbery. During the January 5th robbery, the suspect entered the gas station and pulled out a long rifle and pointed it at the clerk. The clerk grabbed the gun and a struggle ensued. The suspect managed to get the gun back and fled the scene on foot. The deceased was identified as Jordan Neil Mason, age 30, of Port Huron. Details of the manner of death are not being released at this time.
