Although not specifically addressed at tonight’s city council meeting the shared canal dredging idea does show up as one of eleven goals and objectives listed for the council’s approval. The annual fiscal year list of recommendations for the city manager and staff also includes plans to hold neighborhood town halls, create a new operational model for McMorran Place, and explore a new partnership possibility with the MainStreet organization and the Downtown Development Authority. Other business set for tonight’s regular meeting includes topics ranging from the August Rockin’ the Rivers music events to a millage renewal for Blue Water Transportation that is to show up on the May ballot. Port Huron’s city council meeting gets underway at 7:00 p.m. Marysville council also is in session tonight with a grant application and vehicle purchase among the agenda items.
