April Millsap
Little choice for a judge in Macomb County Wednesday morning for the sentencing of James VanCallis. The St. Clair County resident was found guilty of murder in February for the death of 14-year-old April Millsap. The mandatory life sentence was handed down by Judge Mary Chrzanowski. The multi-week trial capped a lengthy search of evidence in the case after the child’s body was found along an Armada area trail. Prosecutors successfully argued that she had been beat to death by VanCallis.
