The Port Huron Prowlers made a pair of deals this week.  Port Huron acquired forward Tyler Prendergast and Matt Beer from St. Clair Shores for future considerations.  Beer was with the Prowlers last season and had eight goals and fifteen points in seventeen games.  He was taken in the expansion draft by the Fighting Saints earlier this summer.  Prendergast was the leading scorer for the Berlin River Drivers last season, with 26 goals and 58 points in just 31 games.  He was called up the SPHL twice during the season and also played in Peoria and Louisiana.  In a second deal the Prowlers sent the rights to forward Dustin Skinner to Watertown, and re-acquired forward Scott Whitmyer.  Whitmyer was also lost in the expansion draft by the Prowlers earlier in the summer.  He had 13 goals and 27 points in 37 games last year with Port Huron.  The Prowlers also learned early in the week that star forward Ahmed Mahfouz has signed to play next season in Cornwall (LNAH) a higher level pro league than the FHL.
