For the first time in school history the Algonac Muskrats have reached the semi-finals of the State High School Football Playoffs. Algonac’s defense caused six turnovers on Friday, leading the Rats to a 38-22 win over Ida. Brendan Piper rushed for two touchdowns, and threw a TD pass to Nick Folkerts. Joe McKee added two more rushing touchdowns in the win. Algonac will face Grand Rapids West Catholic a week from Saturday at 1 PM at Battle Creek Harper Creek.
