Tiger hitters struck out 14 times on Monday night, and Mikie Mahtook’s single was Detroit’s only hit, in a 1-0 loss to the Astros in Houston. Astros’ stater Brad Peacock fanned eight in less than five innings of work, and three relievers combined to strike out six more. The Tigers have lost two in a row and face Houston again on Tuesday night in the second game of a four game series in Texas.
