Arizona blew a six run lead, but did end up beating the Tigers 7-6 on Tuesday night in Detroit. David Peralta hit a home run leading off in the ninth to break a 6-6 tie and give the Diamondbacks the victory. Detroit, down 6-0 early, scored all six of its runs in the bottom of the sixth inning. Miguel Cabrera had two doubles and an RBI, while JD Martinez added a two run home run. Game two of a two game series is set for Wednesday night at Comerica Park.
