Matt Coghlin’s 34 yard field goal as time expired gave No. 24 Michigan State a 27-24 win over No. 7 Penn State on Saturday in East Lansing. The game was delayed by bad weather for nearly three and a half hours. Brian Lewerke passed for 400 yards and two touchdowns, including one to Felton Davis, who caught 12 passes for 181 yards in the game. The Spartans travel to Columbus to face Ohio State next Saturday in a noon kick off.
