The football season ended in the regional final on Saturday for the Algonac Muskrats, in a 17-7 loss at Frankenmuth. Algonac finishes the year with a (10-2) record. The Muskrats got a 16 yard touchdown catch from Nick Folkerts in the third quarter, making the score 14-7 at the time, however Algonac was out rushed 164-76 in the game, and turned the ball over three times. Zach Jacobs scored two touchdowns for the Eagles. Frankenmuth (12-0) will play Grand Rapids West Catholic in the semi-finals. West Catholic has won the last four Division 5 titles and reached the championship game in five straight seasons.
