It’s that most wonderful time of the year, with the holiday season officially beginning in the Blue Water Area:

Downriver in Marine City, a Merry-time Christmas will be celebrated Saturday, with shopping, carolers, and a visit from Santa.

Santa Claus will also be coming to town in Marysville Saturday night, as the city holds it’s annual Christmas parade at 5pm followed by Marysville’s second annual Lights in the Park.

In Port Huron this weekend, candle-light tours of the Fort Gratiot Light Station continue. Contact the Port Huron Museum for more information.

On stage this weekend at the McMorran Theater is the Nutcracker Ballet. Meanwhile, the Citadel Stage in Port Huron will be presenting a production of “It’s a Wonderful Life”.

Saturday Morning also sees the Polar bear plunge at Lakeside Beach to raise funds for the Kiwannis Club.

Lexington welcomes in the holidays Saturday with a Christmas Tree lighting Saturday at 5pm followed by a merchant walk.

Further north, Port Sanilac will be decking the halls, there will be a tree lighting at 7pm Saturday and a visit from the jolly old elf himself.

And Sandusky hosts the annual Lighted Farm Implement parade Saturday Night at 7pm.
