The Blue Water District of the Boy Scouts of America have announced their 2018 “Support A Scout” Luncheon Speaker…. and it’s Former Detroit Lions Quarterback Scott Mitchell. Mitchell, who is from Utah, played for the lions from 1994 to 1998 and is an Eagle Scout himself. The announcement was made yesterday on the WPHM Morning Show by Sara Tate, fundraising chair for the Blue Water District. Tate says the annual event is a fundraiser for the local Boy Scout District, helping them provide a variety of different youth programs throughout the area. The Support a Scout Luncheon takes place June 5th this year at a new venue, the Blue Water Convention Center.
