It’s road construction season in Port Huron, with those pesky orange barrels expected along many city streets. Mayor Pauline Repp says one of road projects that is slated for reconstruction later this year is a portion of Quay Street and Michigan Street in Downtown Port Huron. After initial proposals of a green space, dubbed a “pocket park” by City Manager James Freed, Mayor Repp says the city is going back to the drawing board. Repp, speaking to WPHM yesterday, says she is not in favor of the removal of that block of Quay Street east of Huron. Other construction projects to look forward to in the city of Port Huron includes work on Roselawn Court on the City’s South Side that was approved by council Monday night.
