St. Clair County Community College has been selected by the National Junior College Athletic Association to host Women’s basketball championship games beginning in 2020. The NJCAA toured Port Huron and the college’s field hose this past December to get better acquainted with the community. The tournament will consist of sixteen teams from across the United States competing for a national title. According to the NJCAA, the average stay for the tournament is six nights resulting in approximately 250-thousand dollars to the local community each year. Port Huron will host the games through at least 2022.
