The state Board of Canvassers is expected to decide today whether to allow a marijuana legalization proposal on the November ballot. Backers of the effort were required to turn in over 252,000 valid signatures from registered voters. They went over that, collecting more than 365,000. The Bureau of Elections reported that enough valid signatures were collected to qualify for the November ballot. Ballot proposals must first pass through the State Legislature, where lawmakers will have the option to enact the law or pass it along to the voters to decide.
