A crash in Lapeer County’s Hadley Township sends one to the hospital with life threatening conditions. Lapeer County Sheriff’s Deputies say it happened Thursday afternoon on Hadley Road south of Phillips Road near Metamora. A Ford explorer traveling north on Hadley when it departed the roadway and struck a pine tree head on. A 68 year old form Metamora was the driver and lone occupant. An airbag deployed in the crash but she was not wearing her seatbelt. Investigations continue and authorities say the serious injuries are a direct result of the lack of seat belt use.
