With students going back to school next week, the St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office is offering some tips to drivers.  Sheriff Tim Donnellon says buses will again be taking to the roadways and that motorists are required to stop on a red signal. Donnellon, also speaking to WPHM, says if your child plans to walk or ride a bike to school, there are some additional precautions to take. Be sure they know the quickest route and take that route every time they come to and from school, and if they are riding a bike, always wear a helmet. The Sheriff also says some young drivers who may have just received their licence may be taking to the roads next week, so be sure to give them some space as well. Also be aware of some changes in traffic patterns, with roads surrounding area schools becoming more congested in the mornings and afternoons.
