Progress is being made on the construction of a new hi-rise condo project in Downtown Port Huron. Work on the structural steel of the Blue Water View Condos – located along the St. Clair River at the former YMCA property – is wrapping up. Architect Lee Stevens of Port Huron based Stevens Architects designed the building and says “the steel is about finished… it’s really coming along nicely.” Stevens says once work on the steel beams are done, crews will place exterior walls and windows on the building, with the goal being to enclose the building before winter so workers can focus on the interior. Stevens tells WPHM each of the 29 units will be “unique”, with some having one bedroom and others having two.
