The restaurant inside a long anticipated Downtown Port Huron hotel is now open. “The Kitchen” at City Flats Hotel had a soft opening this week and is located in the two story building immediately behind the former Michigan National Bank Building. Rylie Joachim is the General Manager of City Flats Port Huron and tells WPHM’s Paul Miller “The Kitchen” offers many specialty bagels and cream cheeses for breakfast, along with a full lunch and dinner menu. The restaurant is located at 405 Water Street and is open to the public seven days a week from 7am to 8pm. Although “The Kitchen” at City Flats Hotel is now open, the hotel itself is still in the process of being remodeled, with Joachim saying a spring grand opening is in the works. The former Michigan National Bank building adjacent properties were bought by Sperry’s Movie House owner and West Michigan developer Chuck Reid in 2014.
